- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 ounces tomato sauce
- 15 ounces diced tomatoes
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Spaghetti: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Meat Sauce: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until the beef is browned. Drain any excess grease. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add Cream Cheese: Reduce heat and stir in cream cheese until fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Combine with Spaghetti: Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce and mix well.
- Assemble: In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti mixture. Sprinkle with half of the Parmesan and mozzarella. Add the rest of the spaghetti and top with remaining cheeses.
- Bake: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Garnish and Serve: Let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
